about the role
the conduite is looking for a freelance graphic + website designer to collaborate with our creative team across select client + internal projects.
this is not a full-time role. we’re looking for a reliable freelance creative who can plug into our existing process, move quickly when needed + support us across branding, logo development, websites, apparel + other visual design needs.
the right person has strong taste, excellent design fundamentals and is excited to become a trusted extension of our team over time.
we’re ideally looking for someone who wants to build an ongoing relationship with the conduite, learn the way we work + continue taking on more projects with us as opportunities grow.
what you’ll work on
client branding guides + visual identity systems
logo design + logo refinement
brand building support across typography, color + layout
website design + digital brand experiences
apparel + merchandise graphics
presentation and campaign design as needed
internal the conduite design projects
occasional quick-turn design requests across client accounts
projects will vary month to month, but we anticipate approximately 2–3 freelance projects per month depending on client needs + availability.
who we’re looking for
you might be a great fit if you:
have a strong professional portfolio across branding, logo design, website design + apparel
are highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign + the Adobe Creative Suite
are comfortable working in Canva when a project or client requires it
have a strong understanding of color, typography, composition + visual identity systems
can take an existing creative direction and translate it into a polished, cohesive brand world
are comfortable supporting brand guides from early concept through final execution
can work efficiently on projects with quicker turnaround times
are organized, communicative + reliable with deadlines
take feedback well and are comfortable collaborating closely with a creative director + broader team
are willing to learn our process, systems + the way the conduite approaches brand building
are passionate about continuing to grow creatively + building a long-term freelance relationship with us
are nyc or la based preferred, although exceptional remote candidates will also be considered
how we work
this role is best suited for someone who enjoys freelance flexibility but still wants to feel connected to a creative team.
you’ll work closely with the conduite on a project-by-project basis, with clear briefs, creative direction + collaborative feedback throughout the process.
some projects may be larger branding engagements while others may be smaller, faster-turn design needs. flexibility, strong communication + the ability to move between different brand aesthetics are important.
compensation + project structure
this is a freelance, project-based position and not a full-time role.
compensation will be structured hourly or by project, depending on the scope of work.
we anticipate approximately 2–3 projects per month, with the opportunity for additional work as our client roster + creative needs grow.

we partner with emerging businesses, founders + established brands to build thoughtful creative identities, develop campaigns and create work that connects strong strategy with elevated visual storytelling.
our team is small, collaborative + hands-on, and we’re looking for freelance partners who want to become part of that creative ecosystem.
